For the second year in a row, Goochland County Public Schools have been ranked number one in the Richmond area by Niche, which rates school districts in a variety of areas such as academics, diversity, clubs, health, and staff.
Superintendant, Jeremy Raley, announced today that Goochland County schools were also placed high as eighth in safety and eleventh overall in Virginia. Goochland Middle School confirmed this morning that there will be an influx of new students as Goochland County expands, with a total of 647 students!
Goochland is certainly expanding fast and the schools kept up with the pace. The administration has implemented new and increased safety measures to ensure the wellbeing of students in all of the public schools within the county.
• Back to school night for Goochland County schools will take place Thursday, August 15th, from 4:00-8:00pm.
• There will be an orientation for new students at Goochland Elementary on the same day from 4:00-4:30pm to introduce incoming students to the school and allow them to see the classrooms as well as meet teachers.
